The opera stars internationally acclaimed Irish soprano Celine Byrne as Mimi. Celine, who hails from Co. Kildare, won the 2007 Maria Callas Grand Prix and has sung with world-renowned tenors José Carreras and Roberto Alagna throughout Europe. This production, directed by Tony-award winning director and designer Stewart Laing, transports Puccini’s epic romantic tragedy from the café society of 19th Century Paris to the art society of 21st century New York and gives us the modern equivalents of Mimi, Rodolfo and friends.
